I've asked this question a couple of time to MOTU via email support, but they have been completely unresponsive. I'd appreciate hearing if anyone here has any ideas...

Simply put, I just want to know how to set the levels for sound generated by the same PC I have the 828 connected to. In other words, if I am using Reaktor as a standalone in my (Win XP) PC and I have the 828 hooked up to the same PC, I can't find any way to adjust Reaktor's levels from within the 828 software or hardware. Same goes with non-production software, like Musicmatch Jukebox. The volume slider in that program has no effect on the volume actually coming out the 828.

I checked the Windows Control Panel under Audio, but the volume settings selector is grayed out and unavailable.

I have no soundcards installed in my PC, just the 828 via firewire.

Any ideas? Thanks for your time.
