I've been hearing that Protools is proprietary software that only works with a digidesign interface. ie: Digi001 or 002.
Is this correct or will the software work with other audio interfaces?

In particular, RME or MOTU

Thanks

Protools software must detect protools hardware in order to launch, and you cannot buy Protools software by tiself, it only comes with Protools hareware packages. However you can use third party interfaces as well, but you must have a protools interface present first.

If you're tyring to figure out how to use a cracked version of Protools, you can't without the hardware.
