Sound Designer? Wasn't that the original name of Protools? 
It would appear that "Sound Designer will be only for OSX (I downloaded both upgrades, OS9 did not refer to demo in notes). So Tron, looks like the next thread for you to start will be "Altiverb vs. Sound Designer", something I would be interested in hearing opinions on since I am in the market for a convolution based reverb.

Convolution reverbs have not a quality... the quality is in the IRs

Ah, you took all the fun out of it Stephen! So Tron, it is your expereince that the plug-in itself has no bearing on the quality? I would think implementation and parameter access could be a condsideration to final sound though I understand your point that the IR's are central to the quality of the "space" itself.
Does anybody have any info on IR conversion process to open up using one reverb's IR's with another? They are probably proprietary in file formats but I wonder if there is simple way to "load" in the spaces.

Space Designer LOADS ALL DAW-MAC ALTIVERB IR's
And it sounds great, i especially love the amp and filter bezier envelopes

Its is a shame since I'm still stuck with OS9 and never demod convulotion reverb .
Maybe it is a good thing though, since at the moment I can't really spend on new toys...
