does anyone here have any suggestions for recording mics? I already have an sm58 by shure, but I want a better mic for recording, so I am thinking about both the Behringer B-2 Pro and the Shure KSM-44 or KSM-32. I know the ksm44 is better sound quality and would probably sound better, but it's much more expensive. It does not have the bass roll-off that the KSM32 and behringer have. Could I just get the 44 and use my sm58 to handle the lower frequencies when I need to add those parts with heavy bass? Would it be better to just go with the 32 because it covers both better sound quality and the roll-off? Thanks for any suggestions.

I would go for either of the KSMs VS. the Behringer.

And, I'm sure the KSM44 or KSM32 will have a better frequency response the SM58...
...but the SM58 may handle more SPL, making it a better choice for very loud stuff like percussion.

But, you need to first look at their specs side-by side...
...and then also use your ears. \:D

Forget behringer, cheap third rate knockoff crap.

The Shure options are good, also consider a Node NTK, or one of the many Audio Technica LD condensers. the 40 series are great.
