My name is Matthew Sohn. I have been a student in the Audio Recording program at Columbia College for the last four years. My career goal is to be a recording engineer, I am currently seeking a position in a recording studio, where I will have the opportunity to develop my engineering skills. I am 42 years old and have spent most of my working life as a cook and baker, I am now pursuing a career in the field where my true interests lie. My studies at Columbia have provided me with a strong foundation in theory and some practical experience, and now I am ready to move into the working environment and gain some experience. I am conscientious and dependable, and no stranger to hard work. I take pride in doing my job as well as it can be done, and am eager to learn and refine my skills. If your company has a need for a person like me, I would very much like to talk to you. I am looking for full-time work, but will consider part-time opportunities that would allow me to continue my (part-time) work at the Chicago Symphony archives. If you do not have anything currently, I would appreciate your keeping my resume on file, or forwarding it to any prospective employers you might know of.
