I have a Mac system that I run logic and ADAT PCR on. I purchased the Microboards Jam Session CD burner package which comes with both Toast and Jamtoast software.

My problem is that I can't make songs segue into each other or put in a space between tracks without having a gap of at least 2 secs between files. I've been told I can't do it either by microboards. They told me that I can create a crossfade between the two songs but I would get a 2 sec. gap in between em ????? what's the point there?

An option they suggested is to make one continuous file but then I can put in song ID #'s! this is crazy anybody know what I can do.

Toast 3.5 or versions around there, will always leave a space between cuts. JAM (a different product from Adaptec) will let you run songs together, crossfade and add ISRC codes (or commercial CD pressing).

The new version of Toast 4.0 will also let you record without a break between cuts, but no ISRC codes, which you don't need for anything on a personal level.

I use Toast and Jam everyday.(Sometimes peanut-butter) Not very many people bought Jam, so Adaptec will probably not release any more updates. Jam will support up to 8X drives, Toast 4.011 will support the new 12X drives.

Hope this helps

Roger
