Ya know, as much as I hate to admit it, that thought crossed my mind. But...in the long run, it doesn't matter...as there are folks on HC with twice as many posts as I have.
We'll just hafta see...although I doubt it. (shrug)...

Since MP isn't "going away", you can still continue to post over here Tedster, and I hope that you will consider doing so.  You'll get to 25K eventually - both here and on HC... it's your nature to post - a LOT! 
Congrats on the 24K.

With all the due respect to the moderators, a forum is made by all the subscribers and moderators are not eternal in all forums....
I've gone to HC and subscribed too, then I had a trip around and well...I found it much worst than I had expected, I hope Craig and Dave and whoever goes there to moderate bring their....class...because as it is now is a mess....but I don't see a single reason to leave this forum.
I also find HC graphically tiring.

I was referring to the fact that despite SSS and some other forum mods moving over to HC, there still will be forums, hopefully for quite awhile, here at MP. Ted can get his 25,000th post regardless of SSS moving. You get the idea.

Ted's as popular at the Guitar Forum (which I imagine will remain in some form, due to the obvious connection with Guitar Player mag) as here. I don't know what the breakdown of posts is, but I imagine the guitar forum is second in Tedster posts to the SSS.
So not only will there be a place to post here, it's a place Ted is both familiar with and fond of.
