It appears that The OJ Forum as it exists...

is just a small group of only guys, mostly under 30. That in itself can lead to mental inbreeding, and insolence, and that's why it's such a barren, harsh enviroment. If you add a few women to that equation, one of two things will happen, the whole thing will fall apart, because one or more of the guys will want to get to know, and please the new women members, or the women will leave because they're so disgusted, which is mainly what has happened there. Women tend to have a civilizing influence on guys. I don't know if that sounds old school or what, but I think it's a fact.
I don't care if they keep that little group together, but I think you have to understand the nature of what's going on there. It's a locker room mentality. Maybe that could be the new name for that forum, The Locker Room. I do totally understand that mentality, and I could very easily become part of something like that, but I choose not to.

You're right about the lack of women on OJ. There are about five or six total.
But the age distribution is different than you might guess. There are quite a few regulars there over 40 and even over 50. Just proves that maturity and chronological age are loosely correlated at best, I guess.

Anyone who tries to have a less peurile approach is shouted down as some kind of "intellectual" or "highbrow", and generally regarded as a killjoy.
So those that might try to change the general tone of the conversation are either chased away by the mob, or will tend to join in to the adolescence with a "go along to get along" attitude.
I'll wait until after the move is official, and try to avoid the gratuitous name calling (gratuitous, not deserved  ) and patently offensive (did you see the guy with a "tubgirl" reference in his sig line?  ) stuff.

I don't know, after lurking there for a while and seeing the posts and some of the sig lines it seems to me to be a culture clash.
I'll wait and see how it all pans out but so far I'm shakin my head. 
Seems to be a lot of preocupation with anal sex.

I've come to one conclusion after these 5 plus decades -- a lot of people really, really don't know themselves...
