i have event 20/20 monitors and have now used them in two very different rooms. i feel that i cannot hear the low frequencies well enough to mix the, especially, bass guitar and kick well. on a lot of other systems, my recordings have alot of sludge in the low frequencies. (my jazz bass puts out heavy duty low end).

do i need new monitors? add a subwoofer? some really good headphones? a new bass player/engineer?
