Ok, i am recording a quick demo tonight using a minidisc recorder. I know, the sound is better with dat, bla bla bla, but this IS just a demo. I don't know how to dump from the MD to the Computer, which has a burner. I do have the proper cables, but is there certain(free, downloadable) software i should use? We need to burn copies and shop them to clubs. Please help ASAP!!

im guessing you dont have the manual

failing anything, just 'play' the minidisc and record from the outs.
use the digital out if your soundcard has a digital in.

good luck and have fun! minidisc quality is better then dirty ol' cassettes so no problems there. do what we gotta do

Do you have multitrack software? Unless you can send digital audio directly from MD to computer, you'll lose all your start/stop points. To create tracks once the audio is in the computer, you'll need some decent audio software.

Or, you can drive yourself crazy recording one track at a time to the computer. Then you can use the CD burning software alone to create the CD.

Find some multitrack software! I use N-track studio, available over the net at http://www.fasoft.com . Good software, and DIRT cheap since he writes and sells the program himself. Don't be fooled by the price. It's powerful recording/editing/mixing software.
