Get ready for extreme humidity!!!!! I don't know the town as good as I used to, but to me the best places to go were outside the city. N'awlins is famous for tourist prices on Canal, Bourbon, etc. Check out Lee Circle or Jackson Square, you may see Corey Hart there playing. Excellent bluesman playing an old resonator, usually backed up with an upright bass, and sparse percussion. It's a great town to see blues, and of course the Zydeco thang. If you are REALLY brave, head down to Pierre Part on the way to Morgan City and stop in ANY jukejoint there.....cajun music and food...the real deal awaits, just bring your French-English translator. Man get an oyster poboy and a cold beer and know you are in coonass land.....damn I wish I were there now. How y'all are?
