Brother, I've been saying that for years now. Mel is the true continuation of what Jack Bruce did in Cream. Of course that is in the Power Trio Days, his roll changed with the addition of the keyboard player and he adapted admirably. But songs like 'Sin's A Good mans Brother', 'Paranoid', 'Into the Sun' & 'Closer to Home' are some great stuff. Alan Woody chose 'Sins a Good mans Brother' at some point and it's the only tune w/him playing on the tribute stuff Gov Mule did. One of Mel's truly shining moments is 'I Come Tumblin' where they give him about a 30 second buildup area then he blows Big Time for the next minuet plus. more hard rock players should be able to do that. Thanx for requesting the IN DEPTH interview, maybe we'll be heard one of thees days soon!
