Lonnie Smith was featured on NPR online. He does an interview and plays 3 songs - all sans drummer. Really cool to hear the organ w/o drums. The last song, Pilgrimage sounds to me a like a take on "black brown and beautiful." Great stuff though :

Lonnie sounded great. I wonder what he was playing, since the interviewer mentioned it was not a B3 but a "small keyboard". Probably an Electro. It sounded good.

I know! I was thinking the same thing. It could have been a single manual Hammond. I read an article where he said he used a Nord and found it pretty good. Goes to say....It's not the instrument - it's who play's it!!

Sounded good though didn't it? =)
