I have a Roland JP-8000 that I'd like to sell. There is a catch however--it's broken. It was resting atop my speakers in my vehicle and it fell maybe a foot and ever since there is a problem with one of the filters. After a couple minutes of playing the LFO1 filter modulates wildly creating a sound almost siren like. You can reboot the board and it goes back to normal for a few minutes, then back to the wild modulation. In addition, the AMP effects located on the top right of the board don't work, nor do the Time or Feedback knobs on the bottom right. It was sent to Roland US where I was assured that regardless of the problem it was fixable, which I wanted to be sure of before spending $50 shipping to find out it was toast. Nonetheless, I received it back with a one sentence note saying it was the motherboard and that they didn't have the parts. If anyone is interested in this board, perhaps for parts or maybe as a project to try and fix it, let me know. I would ask for a minimum of $50 to pay for shipping, but other than that, make an offer.

Hi yogi!
My name is Claudio and came from italy
I'm interested only in some knobs and oscillators.
What's about to sell me just some of them?

Let me know.
Regards, Claudio

You can order knobs at the Roland service center, but you can't pry an oscillator out of a few DSP chips \:D

just what i did, but i'm still waiting for a knob from italian roland service center since near two months. I start to think it's quite difficult to find knobs when the gear is 10 years old... \:\(
Do you know some european or usa roland sercive i could ask?
thanks
