I may be showing my age but I would like to throw in my two cents worth. I realize that you are trying to appeal to every demographic out there. However, I don't think you should worry about the intelligence of your readers. Therefore, you should definitely expand your horizons for cover choices and content. I have tremendous respect for Slash, Satriani, Lukather, Belew, Van Halen, Metheny, Vai, etc....but that doesn't mean I want to read about them in practically every issue you put out. It seems like if there isn't some kind of featured article on them, you can expect to see one of their faces in an advertisement. Here's one suggestion. After all the years I have bought your publication, I have never seen anything written about Martin Barre (one of my favorite influences) except for a footnote here and there. He has been playing brilliant music with Jehtro Tull for forty years now and has never graced the cover of your magazine (at least to my knowledge anyway). I could mention hundreds of other brilliant players that have, and continue, to contribute great music to our society but it seems GP has no idea that they exists. That being said, hope springs eternal, and I will continue to purchase your magazine in spite of my disappointments.
