Just got my July 2008 issue, and on Page 180 ("Product Spotlight"), there's an item touting RiffWorks T4. I tried going to the Web site (www.riffworks.com/T4), but it wasn't there. Is this an elaborate April Fools joke that's so elaborate, it doesn't even have to be April? Or am I missing something?

I'm sure the GP editors will explain. In the meantime, I found THIS.

Hope it helps.

Jim:

Yes, I was aware of Sonoma's Web site about RiffWorks, but the item about RiffWorks T4 package in the latest issue mentioned a FREE version. This seemed too good to be true...and maybe it is?

Yeah, perhaps that free demo is what they're referring to. I will investigate and report back.

Okay, the deal is that the launch date for Riffworks T4 should have been printed as June 10. The url printed in the magazine (riffworks.com/t4) should be updated by Sonoma Wireworks soon to provide info on the forthcoming free Riffworks T4 download.

MichelleW, Jude, Jim and Editor Boy:

Thanks for the quick reply! Not only is Guitar Player Magazine consistently at the top of the list, but the associated forums remain some of the best online resources for all things "guitar." I really appreciate the challenges you face, and I think the staff does an exemplary job. Now, if you could just "arrange" for me to win one of the giveaways...

Just downloaded and installed it -- now all I have to do is find the time to give it a try!

By the way, I also notice the free download package comes with a couple VSTs. I'm looking forward to trying those, too. Except I've got the feeling you're just getting me "addicted" to something that will keep me up too late each night...
