Free stuff doesn't come for free these days. We want to hear your stuff to give you free stuff!

You've read the mag, and you're on the forum. Now all you have to do it post links to your best stuff using guitar sims (don't forget to list the guitar sim you are using).

A team of dedicated masters in the field recording will review each and every entry and elect four they find the best.

The reason to do this? Three runners up will win a copy of Native Instruments' acclaimed Guitar Rig 3, with more awards than your dad's bowling team, it's the guitar and bass solution for studio and stage with 12 amps, 23 cabinets, 4 rotary speakers, 9 mics, and 44 effects - including options you won't find anywhere else.

The first place winner will ALSO receive the stage-ready Rig Kontrol pedalboard with 8 footswitches and a sturdy foot pedal; Rig Kontrol also doubles as a high-end audio and MIDI interface with exceptional sonic quality.

So what cha' waiting for? Start posting!

Hello,

We just finished an album made mostly of Native instruments. All the guitars use guitar rig 1 or 3 with:

Gratifier for low saturated chords

Twang+screamer+Simple Chorus Ensemble for solo (you or another you)

Gratifier + Quad Delay + Studio reverb for solo (Midnight Underground)

I also like to use the talkwha at 3/4 and assign the footpedal to the "size" component. (Theology I)

You can check the music at http://www.myspace.com/thelubeckheads

Here is a new song my band and I (Dementia) recorded. It's titled "Day By Day" and it's a hard rock song. I used IK Multimedia's Amplitube (original version, not the newer one) for the guitars.

http://home.comcast.net/~sbingier/Dementia%20-%20Day%20By%20Day.mp3

Guitar used was a 1991 Carvin X220 with Seymour Duncan Distortion pickup in the bridge position and Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup in the neck position.

Hi I use a Line 6 Gearbox gold bundle for most of the sounds on this...It was recorded into Ableton Live. The acoustic guitar was an Art & Lutherie that I just plugged into a Radial DI and the electric is a Les Paul Studio that went into the Tone Direct Box bundled with the GearBox. Lotsa compressor abuse at work here. I was trying for a Beck/70s era Stones vibe and playing around in Open D tuning.

Love your site. I have lots of amps and mics but I almost always reach for an amp sim these days.

The guitar on these songs we're recorded direct through a Vox DA 20 on the Boutique setting, no fx.
Record Chain: Les Paul/Vox DA-20 (1/4" direct out) /Blue pre/Distressor.
Mac g5/Protools Hd

Is this contest still active? What's the deadline?

I own GR2 with the Rig Kontrol & it's outstanding! I love to compete, so hope there's time remaining ....
