Anybody had any experience with Gigmasters. Good things? Bad things? No things? Did you get any business from being listed with them?

We didn't have spectacular success -- but we did get business -- primarily higher-end corporate gigs and weddings. It's not cheap, though. I'd give it a qualified recommendation.

Gigmasters charges $59 for 3 months of being listed and then 5% of the gig price or a minimum of $25 for each booking. They do give the artist the option of having the buyer pay the 5%/minimum but they suggest that the artist pay the fee as the buyer of music would be more inclinded to choose a band that the buyer would not have to pay the additonal cost.

Never successfully closed a deal with any leads that came from them. Gave up on them after awhile.

One of the guys that hires me has been using it for a while. I'd say he's gotten probably 8-12 gigs a year out of it. All have paid better than the standard. In fact, they've been fun gigs, since he's very clear about what will and won't be played, fees, etc., and so the customers sort themselves out accordingly. Mosty trio corporate gigs or weddings where the focus is on background rather than dance. He hasn't told me of any problems with it.

244 people have looked at this post and only 3 have responded. I really thought more of you would have tried Gigmasters. I decided to sign up for 90 days and check it out. I had one hit the first day for a high-end country club birthday party gig. The buyer is taking bids on the job...so I gave him my price and now we will see what happens. I'll report in again later and let you know how this Gigmaster thing works out.
