Funny, I sold a Crumar Stringman about a year ago for $75.

Buying a case for the new baby grand should prove interesting.

I was trying to check out an old Crumar string machine I used to own around 1980-81 at synthmuseum.com, but I couldn't find it. I can't remember the model name.

I recall it did have strings, horns, and maybe a real cheesy piano(?). It had these buttons to change the sounds and sort of occupied a niche between mono synths and later polysynths.

It was fine in it's day, but a little on the cheap side.

Umm...There's something seriously wrong with that picture.

Look at the middle of the keyboard. It seems to stop at G and starts over again at C?? And the top note is a D??

Had the crumar t-3 organ. It was horrible. Not as cheesy as my old Farfisa Professional and it would wash out when conncted to a leslie 147 through the preamp.

The percussion was just plain bad. No character. About the only thing you could do would be to take the Jimmy Destri approach and use effect pedals to make it sound interesting.
