Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that my daughter Kaki would have been part of the one of top grossing shows in the world, but she was:

Just kidding. I just pointed this out to my teen. His reply? "Dude. Kaki is supposed to be amazing. She is a real innovative guitarist." So though he doesn't have her music he is well aware of her playing.

Especially nice to see such an "anti-pop" artist have this kind of success; and even more so because Kaki didn't resort to Britney-type marketing strategies (revealing clothing, outrageous behavior) to achieve it. Warmest congratulations to her!

Also interesting that 3 of the top 5 grossing concerts were in Australia, & 2 of those in Sydney. There's something going on down there.

I was commenting on the "watching music in a cavernous echo chamber on really big screen TV" for mega dollars as opposed to hearing music in an acoustically appropriate small hall.
Sadly the $3,000,000 will trump the $27,000 every time and, in this earbuds and lossy mp3 age, sound quality isn't a primary consideration.
I'd gladly pony up the $95 to hear Kaki in a small hall setting but won't pay that kind of money to see any artist in a giant echo chamber.

lol, i saw her on tv one time, didnt catch her name, but she made my jaw drop. totally blew me away. until today, i never found out her name. lol, yeah, ive been living under a rock
