The radio edit usual cuts out the bass intro to NIB called 'Bassically', make sure you get that as well. THe full song has 4 parts, Wasp/Behind a Wall of sleep/Bassically/ NIB. Dig it.

I liked Ozzie's Iron Man albumn alot as a kid (around 1970). Can't remember if we listened to it on 78 LP or 8 Track cassette, but it was cool. The music was brand new and extemely cutting edge; also saw Black Sabbath in concert in Kansas City. Who would have thought that he'd still be an icon after all these years.

Who says guitar players have all the fun w/ wah wahs!
Ozzy and Iommi get most of the credit for Black Sabbath but Geezer Butler on bass was a big part as well.
I've been into Sabbath since a teenager back in the mid 70's and I can say Butler's bass playing has been an big influence.
One of my first albums from them was the double set compilation from 1975... Sold Our Soul for Rock and Roll.
Better yet, run out now and start by getting their 7 Albums, Black Sabbath through Technical Ecstacy.

I'll probably get trashed by the purists, but Ozzy's Speak Of The Devil album, which consisted of Ozzy doing Sabbath tunes live with Rudy Sarzo (bass), Tommy Aldridge (drums), and Brad Gillis (guitar) was an early tutorial for me as I was learning to play. Lots of people don't dig the album, but I still think it rocks. Not so much for Sarzo's or Ozzy's performances, but for Gillis and Aldridge. \m/

I still remember the first time I heard the song "Black Sabbath" at my drummer's house. "Heavy" had a new definition.
Stonefly has been known to tease about doing War Pigs, which some of us jammed one time (at the drummer's 40th birthday a few years back).

Been known to play Geezer riffs, particularly N.I.B. and Iron Man when the rest of the band starts getting too chatty. Had everything from Black Sabbath to Heaven and Hell (Dio) in vinyl until my brother's apartment caught fire and the albums burnt up.
Parinoid has to be one of the best albums ever.

Gotta love 102.9! My wife and I have been listening to the countdown for the last couple of weeks.
Some of Osbournes new stuff is a bit fun to play. Rob Nicholson plays the bass on the newest CD. "I Dont Wanna Stop" and "Not Going Away" are pretty basic lines to play.
Further speaking of Ozzy...he has had quite the impressive list of hard rock bassists performing with him....

You mean Paranoid? That would be the album "Iron Man" first appeared on...

Geezer was the man! His bassline, while dizzying on its own, is the very glue that holds the breakdown in "Sweet Leaf" together!

Check it out; Celeste (she's the morning show co-host,for you non-Mainiacs)was doing a remote at the Micky D's in Freeport Thursday when I drove down to pick up my B.B. King tix, so I stopped in and snagged a pic!
