Roundhouse 290 Don't know if they are discounting them or not, but they say supply is limited to what is on hand.

Reverend has made its name with its original designs, so the ones which emulate other well known styles probably don't get nearly as much attention. Also, since they are now made overseas, they probably put in an order for X amount of model XYZ, & can't easily make only 10 more if there's just a dribble of interest. A slow mover just has to be let go in that kind of manufacturing scenario most likely.

I agree with Scott. I bought a Reverend Charger 290 because I wanted all the features described above (2 P90's specially wound for optimized output etc...) but I picked a reverend because they're known for their unique designs.
If I wanted a Paul-shaped guitar, I would have bought a Les Paul with P-90s or if I wanted to save money, I would have played 100 Epi Les Pauls with P-90s and found the one I liked. I think the Roundhouse model was an experiment for Reverend in going against their vision.

caprae, they are not discounting them that I know of. And Scott is correct, they are not moving like the other models, and they are still a small enough company that a slow mover does them no favors, so out the door with it. I'm a Reverend forum member, and Joe Naylor (the owner of the company) personally posted up the discontinuation notice, citing slower moving than the rest of the models. But they did replace it with this: http://www.reverendguitars.com/reverend/guitars/set_neck_series/roundhouse_rt.html which kind of takes the Roundhouse shape to a new place.

ive got the Reverend blues, i just traded in a rare Rocco, a new Buckshot and (sigh) my Hallmark Sweptwing (crying) today on a new guitar. I know im going to miss that Rocco. The downside of GAS is sometimes you do things your gonna regret but hey i live for the moment. Pics up tomorrow.
