Hello all...

I was looking for a Windows program that will let me play my guitar through my PC and put on effects and even record.

I have a SoundBlaster Augby with a 1/4 in jack input I plug my guitar right in...

Any good programs that will do that?

I tried mixcraft 4... but there is 700ms delay from when I strum a note until I hear it in the speakers.

Hope someone can suggest somthing.

If you mean Soundblaster Audigy, you might try and download Asio4All.

It might help with the latency. If not, a Pro sound card like from Echo Audio would be the best. Soundblasters are considered toys for gamers.

For free, Audacity is a free sound recorder.

If you want to spend $50, Reaper is getting rave reviews over programs costing a lot more. It's free to try and it's updated almost daily. It's uncrippled...the programmers trust you'll pay for it if you decide to keep it. The forums there are great.

Google Reaper and Audacity and you'll find them.

Loaded the asio4all... \:\) SWEEEET!!!

That worked great... now if there is a delay... it is so small I can't tell!!

The Acoustica Mixcraft 4 is awsome by the way. The best thing I found to just plug my guitar into the computer and put many different effects on and listen to the output.
