About 3.5 times cheaper on a volume basis than 703 (I'm assuming the user leaves the stuff in the plastic wrap). Density in bag is about 8 pounds per cu ft. It's been treated with a fire-retardant. The only question: in what neighborhood would it's flow resistance be?

When I click the link it says the product is no longer available. Regardless, the only way to know if any material is useful is to test it in a lab. Or compare it to a known material in a home made test.

Sorry about the link, it's some web applet nightmare thing, I dunno. If you go to their homepage and enter your zip code, then you get clearance. Stupid web design. You'd think home despot could hire a competent web designer.
The product is called "green fiber blow-in insulation".

Words like "fiber insulation" sound promising. But again there's no way for me to know if it's any good without trying it. So you do that, and let us know what happens.
