Dave, if the real color is close to your pics...that's very unique!
I like that redish/violet tone with the cream color.

Nice. Still looks great for an early 1980's Ibanez. The original Edge bridge that seller put on the guitar is great.
Just a tip, if you can, you might want to use a medium strength threadlocker (like Loc-Tite) to help keep the trem arm holder in place. It can unscrew itself over time with regular use. The holder won't unscrew enough to pop off completely, but tightening the thing + the locker should keep the hole steady.
More info on that here: http://www.jemsite.com/tech/3other.htm#tremarmholder
Also, you'll have to occasionally replace the plastic white bushings that come with the trem arm. Most of the big stores (GC, Sam Ash, etc.) usually sell replacements. Or, just get an extra arm as backup.

Nice. Still looks great for an early 1980's Ibanez. The original Edge bridge that seller put on the guitar is great. Thanks, I think so. I haven't shown the two "defects", but they're not much at all. The first is nothing more than a mark on the top edge of the guitar. The other is some chips at the end of the headstock. A little uglier, but not outrageous... and, yes, I did know about them before bidding.
On the Edge bridge, does that mean that it's not the OEM bridge? I had a fixed one on my previous, so I can't compare. Not a big deal to me, just curious.
And thanks for the tip on the Tremolo Arm, although I typically don't use it much. I was even thinking of (in the far distant future) converting it to a fixed bridge of some kind.
WOW!!! What a GREAT page!! Thanks
Now for the... bad news. While tuning and setting the intonation, I broke the (high) E string (they were in pretty bad shape anyway, just wanted to see if it needed a setup by a pro before I put new strings on). But... I'm still basically an acoustic kinda' guy and couldn't even handle doing a string change on the Korean H-S-H with a Flloyed Rose type trem bridge. I took it to a dealer and had it done.
I already took off one saddle (hi E of course) trying to see how this thing works for changing strings... thinking that I might take this to a good luthier to set it up... but also that I might do it myself.
Errrr... Do you know how ta' put the new strings in?
After skimming that link, I suddenly realized that maybe it was done from underneath the tremolo with the plate taken off. Uhhh... don't see how now that I've taken it off.

Well, that's just a color more akin to that of an English muffin, with pale-white cream-cheese and purple grape-jelly slathered on top of it...
I like it, that sort of an 'ivory' color...
