Nice!!
I'm assuming you got the NOS model? That's what the pic shows. That's the one I have.
The Jensen speaker is definitely an upgrade over the stock speaker and the tweed is sweet. Although the other guitarist in my band has the standard and that kicks butt too.. We have a 2 Junior backline. LOL Maybe we should put a couple of dummy Marshall cabs on stage for show.
Did you dig into yet? The tone and volume on these things is very impressive. I gig with it without miking for just about every room.
Hey, show your wife the price tag on some of the boutique amps that you were considering and you'll justify purchase

That works for me. You get used to the couch after a couple of nights.
Nice amp, Ramp. Now go crank it up before she gets home!

Wifey's home... she hasn't noticed it and I'll bet good Yankee dollars she doesn't...
The trick is to keep moving your amps/guitars all around the room...never leave the same ones in the same spot for more than a day or two. After awhile...you could probably bring home a Marshall double-stack and she won't be able to tell if it's a new item or one that you already had there before!
I always like tweed-covered gear...good luck with the amp.

I've wanted one of those ever since I saw one. Congrats RD, you got a good'un. How much didja pay, if you don't mind my asking? I'll be interested to hear what you think after you do the A/B tests...

Damn RampDawg...that is a cool amp! Hey, I brought home a Boss RT-20 a couple of months ago, and the first thing outta the wife's mouth was...."Ahhh, I see you bought a new toy". I can't get away with crap at my house. Nice amp dewd. Way to go! Randy
That's how it is at my house! It never fails that if I order something, it comes in while I'm at work, and my wife gets home well before me, so she intercepts said package and usually I get a call. But she's almost always (I stress almost) over it by the time I get home.

I do the same thing Greg does. I sell stuff to get stuff! That's the key, have enough stuff so it looks like it's always been there. Nice Tweed Junior, by the way. Put your other amps in front and move the Junior up slowly and LIE, LIE, LIE!!!!! Great buy. Play it in good health.

I've wanted one of those ever since I saw one. Congrats RD, you got a good'un. How much didja pay, if you don't mind my asking? I'll be interested to hear what you think after you do the A/B tests... Brand new outa' the box was $529. I probably could have gotten' it cheaper off Ebay or Craigs list but I hate waitin' and dealin' on there... The Jr. by itself is a tad boxy and not as full and lush BUT... Once you add some bass and drums this thing takes on a whole new character... Next to the Dexluxe you can really hear it lacking in head room but I still gotta' soften up that Jensen speaker. It's tighter than a gnats bunger... Anyway, like I said once you add some rhythum Jr. cuts right through and stands right up... The only pedal I've tried with it is my H2o chorus/delay... I don't think it needs an overdrive pedal. I set the gain to 8 the master to 3, bass to 10, mid to 8, and treble to 8. The reverb I've been leaving at between 2 and 3 as it can be a bit overwhelming... This is all with my Strat... Once I put the LP through it all settings need to be tweaked... With the Strat I'm gettin' some nice scratchy sounds that I like alot... I've only got about 2 hours of playing time on it so I have a way's to go. I will record it real soon as I'm hoping it helps me mantain that tone through the mic... We shall see... Thanks for all the suggestions on smuggling gear ... Looks like I got across the border with my load and Mrs. Rampdog hasn't said a word...
