Hey guys!

Havn't been on here in awhile.. I'm looking at some acoustics, primarily the Seagull S6, but I don't know if I should get the acoustic electric or regular acoustic.

Ive seen those little pick ups that you can clip to your soundhole but will it do the guitar justice? I don't mind shelling out the extra 100 or so if the Acoustic-Electric is that much better than an attachable pick up.

If you are going to play your acoustic out at gigs, or parties where you'll need amplification, then consider the acoustic electric.

If you are just playing at home, you may not need the electronics.........

Have fun, and if you can, try to play as many of them as you can. One will strike you as "THE ONE".....take that one home!!

We DO REQUIRE PICTURES AND AUDIO CLIPS, if at all possible.

There's quite a good page on acoustic pickups here

http://www.dougyoungguitar.com/pickuptest.htm

with actual sound files, which is a bit of a rarity.

Thanks KF3, that site is a great resource indeed. My only disappointment with it is that it's old enough or something that there are no Fishman Aura clips (unless I'm just not finding them on there).

Yeah, the Fishman Aura preamps are fabulous.
