For sale in the DC / Baltimore area - one pair of Mackie 450s. Perfect functional condition, some cosmetic wear. $700 for the pair. These are older 450s made in Italy.

Please PM if interested. Thanks!

I just never heard of Italian Mackies. I thought they would be covered in fine Corinthian leather or something, but apparently lots were made there?

Maybe you should just get a Gulbransen.

IIRC, Loud/Mackie owned RCF for a while, and so when Mackie got into the powered speaker business, it was really their speakers, I think. So early Mackie powered speakers would really be RCFs, perhaps even made in Italy like he says.

I'll post a pic of the back plate if needed. In any case, the later 450s and the new v2s are Chinese made from what I've been told. I would imagine that many were made in Italy as I don't see Mackie ever doing small production runs.

The 450s I have are 4-5 years old and in perfect functional condition. There are some scratches on the outside. They've been gigged as my keyboard rig but never used as PA.
