I stumbled across this website....and I do NOT know this guy, but thought I'd mention for SRV lovers. I was actually Googling for "Henry Garza amp settings" \:D ....and while I didn't find that, I did find this:

http://www.steviesnacks.com

Lot's of video lessons in the Texas Blues and SRV style.

And if anybody knows Henry Garza's pedals and amp settings, please let me know. My GPs are in storage and I can't get to them.

OK, I found Garza's pedals from GP online. I'll have to just mess with settings with my POD 2.3 since I don't have a Tube Screamer.

Henry Garza GP article

“I’ve never been into gear,” says Garza. “My dad taught me to plug in and play, and deal with what you have.”

Currently, Garza is dealing with a Fender Strat strung with a hefty set of D’Addario .012s. “When I began playing, I actually used .008s,” he says. “But I worked my way up through .009s, .010s, and .011s, like a weightlifter training his body.”

To round out his rig, Garza plugs into an Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer, a Vox wah, finally ending at a Marshall JCM2000 plugged into a Celestion-loaded Bogner 2x12 and a Fender Twin Reverb reissue.

I like the tones... If he was playing through that Blues Jr. Do you think that Jr. had the original speaker in it??
I mean... I really liked that tone...

It says it's NOS so I'm sure he would have mentioned if anything had been changed. I'm really getting into this site. I really need to absorb more of the SRV style.

GuitarPlayerFL, I ran across his site a couple of months ago. Great stuff there. The guy seems really generous with his talents and knowledge.

I like Garza's playing, you can hear the SRV influence without his being (or trying to be) a clone.

He's no Jimmie, though...

I'm sure Garza's not losing sleep over that.

Yes, I wouldn't want HG to be a clone of SRV. SRV is already a clone of Albert King. \:D

I like the way he has the backdoor thing about the Blooze boxes.
I've never tried the SRV style, so this is a cool site.

That Garza article is from 2004. He uses a Zendrive now as well.

I saw that on Carl Verheyen's pedal board...not sure if he uses it anymore, though.

Fumbly, have you made it to The Baked Potato to see Carl play? He's well worth giving your wife flowers and letting your kids sleep over at a friend's house to experience his playing. \:D
