Looks pretty nice.

Here's a LINK to a thread about it at the Lowdown forum.

Is 'purple heart' a kind of wood? And is it naturally purple?

that is sweet, you should transfer that body shape to a guitar as well it looks killer.

It can be any color from a reddish brown through a beautiful, rich purple.

Gorgeous! A music buddy in Toronto has the same neck on a bass he built - Warmouth, I believe.

WOW! Thanks, guys! I debated about whether I should cross-post as the guys on the bass forum hadn't seen it before, but I decided to play by the rules and not do so. I hoped somebody from here would see it there and say something or that somebody would ask so I could post a link to that post. This was an unexpected and very pleasant surprise! Thanks so much for your encouragement and support! I do appreciate it very much! I did finally set up a page on it in my website too...

I do intend to, and am in the process of designing a guitar based on that design. I do not have the tooling for inlaying the gecko and that is a trademark of the Warmoth Gecko so I would not copy it anyway. Either way, a "Horned CamelBack" is in the near future! ;\)

I'm sure the others will agree with me Boggs. Please feel free to post your pics across the boards. You're not a hit and run spammer or even a guy who has been running a business before he got here and is starting to push it. We were all here for the very first prototype and watched as your designs went from drawings to a real guitar. We have watched you grow this company and have rooted you on. We want to hear how you are doing.

Posting here isn't spam, it's keeping us updated on your progress!

We're all proud of you Boggs! And besides...being about guitars, it is on topic ;\) .

By all means, a cool bass is just plain cool, and topically related enough as well.

Add to that the D.I.Y./builder/luthiery aspects, and all-around this is just as valid to be posted here here as anything.

(Nice bass, by the way, Boggs!)
