Hiya Shari, these are great solutions, but I have found the ultimate answer. Buy a PVC pipe about 1ft. long and a 3in. diameter, put the cat in the tube and tape up both ends with very strong tape, no more kitty problems!!! good luck getting my cat to fit in there.. maybe a leg will fit I'll bet you could get a hound in there though, Lee...
You could try, however a hound is SO intelligent that you would end up in the tube!! LOL!!

Wow... talk about delusions of grandeur. My dumbest cat is still a mental genius compared to any hound I've ever met... That's not a joke.
Anyway....
That's alright honey... you can eat the itsy bitsy German Shepard if it annoys you...

At 1100lbs, 50 mph running speed, and the strength of its Lion and Tiger heritage, even packs of wolves would be no match for a single Liger. Your basset would make a nice mini hot-dog as a bite size snack.
Don't mess with kitty. Even my normal size, house cats would send many dogs twice their size and three times their weight run in fear.. if they're smart.
My brother had a friend in highschool whose cat literally kept the neighborhood German Shepherds and other big dogs out of their yard. That cat was mean and capable!

Yea, but who do cats call when they can't find their litterbox? They call a bloodhound! I love that TV commercial.

Well your opinion is a joke, you don't know hounds at all, or you would not say that. In fact blooded hounds are among the most intelligent of all animals.

Well, what I'VE heard is that the smartest member of the dog family is by far and away the fox.
I mean, their cunning is proverbial.

Well, a fox hound can catch a fox on the run and snap it's neck, that is a fact.

That's kind of unscientific, Lee.
I'm saying that a fox is smarter, and you're saying that if a fox hound gets to chase a fox, it'll physically overpower the fox. But that doesn't mean a fox hound is smarter.

Oh yes it does Vince!! because the Fox Hound knows when to Zig and the Fox doesn't know when to Zag!!! now that is pure applied science!!
