yesterday Brett turned 13...i am officially old.
we picked him up a copy of Maximum rock and roll, the AC/DC book.
i love chocolate cake.
we are planning a cool outing if weather permits.but he doesn't know yet.

Sounds like you are planning a great birthday for Brett!

BTW, you're not old because you have a 13 year old. What would make you old is when you can remember when AC/DC first became popular ;\) . Or at least remember when Robert Redford was considered a sex symbol:

thanks everyone. no worries about Brett, he is a good kid and we are pretty close. on his birthday we did a little driving instruction in the back yard. he had fun.
we went trail riding as well. i am a cowboy now.

16..but i plan on doing a little training now and then in our yard.

I believe this is a good idea (in moderation at least). My dad brought me and my brother up around vehicles (2 and 4 wheeled) and showed us the basics. I can safely say I am a better driver having learned at a young age.
