Since everyone else is showing off their LPs and Strats(which by the way, I saw alot of killer axes!), why not show off our Reverends. As you may know, I just bought one about a month ago and now that the newness has worn somewhat off, thought I'd report on it and show a picture or two. And while I'm at it, lets see some others.

-This guitar is probably the most stable, tuning-wise, that I have ever owned. I have had absolutely zero tuning issues with it. I can always tell on my Tele and Strat when its time to change strings-they start going out of tune. This one needs new strings, but still stays in tune!
-These P90s absolutely kick a**! I keep asking myself why I haven't tried them before. I love them! They have a great single coil sound, nice and sparkly, but with a thickness to them that really rounds them out.
-The neck is one of the most comfortable and best feeling I have ever had. It is not a huge club, but it's also not too thin. Normally I like a little bigger neck (think '50s LPish), but this one is right in between and just right.
-Overall, for a $450 guitar, I almost feel like I ripped someone off. The quality is excellent, the fit and finish are almost perfect, I've only found two little tiny finish imperfections, one might have happened after I got it, the other is extremely small. I would expect to pay closer to $1000 for a guitar like this. I've sold my Epi LP and I'm going to get another Reverend. That's how much I like this one. As a matter of fact, I've got a local dealer going to take on the Reverend line! And they are less than a mile down the street from my work!
Anyways...here is another picture of mine, lets see some others. I know dead mike has one, there's got to be more.

LOL!!! Reif, I was expecting someone to throw something like that out! Do you actually own that Reverend?! \:D

Mike, I knew that you would be around. I remember seeing that first one, but haven't seen your others. WOW!! You got some killer Revs there! I love that etched aluminum (it is aluminum isn't it?) one, and its pretty rare, isn't it?

My Rev has quickly turned into my main guitar. Having been on the Reverend forum (I'm Gearhead over there), I'm finding out that I must have gotten lucky finding a green metallic Warhawk I 290. The only thing I could suggest, and you have probably already thought of this (or maybe even tried it), is to go down the dealer list and call them all. Surely there is at least one or two more NOS ones out there. I just found out yesterday that I now have a local dealer, and he's got new ones on the way, including my new Roundhouse HB FM. I can't wait!!! GAS relief is in sight!

Does anyone have their axes w/ filtertron-style pups?

I'd like to try one of those. I'd also like to check out a Hellhound or Goblin amp.

I don't think that he has a problem?!?!?!! What do you think his wife thinks?...OH, wait, there is no possible way that he is married! LOL!!! \:D Apparently he has quite the Strat and Tele collection also.

Scott, he is wwwwaaaayyyy past emergency status!! A GAS clinic wouldn't be near enough, intervention probably wouldn't help. Maybe full blown rehab!?!?!

As soon as my local guy gets his shipment in, I will let you know about the filtertron-style p/ups. I am interested in them also. I'd like to try out a Hellhound too, but I'm afraid if I do, I'd want one! \:D I promised my wife that I would (after my next purchase \:D ) curb my buying for a while. As much as she hates my buying more stuff, she really is pretty cool about it all. So I will apease her for now. Notice I said "for now"! \:D

Heres a pic of the back for ya. Greg, that is a rare guitar you have there, i personally have never seen more than 3 and i look everyday on craigslist and the bay. that colour was around for a short time when they were making usa's and koreans at the same time. nice score. You should try getting a USA model before they get any higher in price, there very unique and airy/thick sounding, i think you'd really dig it.

That is really cool!

I guess I got lucky on my find. I've had a couple of others tell me the same thing. All I know is that it is a keeper.

I've been keeping an eye on ebay, looking at the USA models. I've got a Roundhouse HB FM coming, so I'll probably have to wait for a little while to get another one, but I am very interested in a USA model. I wish that I had discovered Reverends earlier, I can't say enough how happy I am with this guitar, regardless of how much I paid for it! I'd say they are one of the best kept secrets out there.

Holy crap, Grooveking!! How do you decide which one to play?!?! \:D Very nice collection!

What's under the PRS cover? Didn't they make an amp or two?

Very nice collection indeed--you got a studio, right?

What's your opinion of the GT and Soldano amps in your pic?

I'd REALLY like to try a Reverend amp.

Me too, Millo. The Hellhound is on my radar. I see them pretty regularly on ebay, but there's usually about 15 - 20 bids or more. And I'm sure that someone will slam at the end of the auction no matter, so I'll sit those out and eventually one will find me.

Under the PRS cover is a Paul Reed Smith Harmonic Generator, it's a solid state amp, but to me it's the best one I have ever found. It was designed and built by Eric Pritchard of Pritchard Amps, which by the way are great amps, very under-rated. I've played a few Pritchards and will someday get a few of them. Most people have a predeteremined bias against them because they don't have any tubes in them, but Eric really knows his stuff and I think if done in a blind test, more people would end up chosing the Pritchard. There is no doubt that Eric is a genius and I mean he goes past the genius mark by quite a bit too.

As to the Groove Tube Soul O 45's, they are the best 1-12 combo amps I have found. They don't do high gain, but their clean is outstanding, besides they were designed to take pedals better than any other amp I have found. They are built like tanks and have really great features.

The Soldanos are excellent too, but I had to retube them and set the bias on them. They came from the factory very cold sounding, they originally had Eminence speakers in them, that were made for Soldano. I replaced the speakers with some Celestion Black backs from an old Marshall 412 that a friend had. These are Atomic 16's, so they don't have reverb. When plugged into a 412 they scream!

As to gear, that is part of my home studio.
