Can anyone educate me on this? When I bounce a file to disc, with ProTools, I'm selecting to bounce a wav file. When I burn this to a CD it will only play on a computer, not in a home or car stereo. I must import that wav into another program like iTunes, or Toast, and then burn it to CD and it will then play on home stereo's. They are both wav files but one must be a data wav and they other an audio wav?

.wav is not the native format for an audio cd. (CDDA) You need to tell the burner that it is making an audio cd (CDDA) instead of a data CD.

In addition, to play in consumer CD players the files must be 16 bit 44.1k. Also, older CD players often won't play CD-R media.
