Hi Guys, For those of you that celebrated, hope you all had a great Easter! I have a simple question (which could probably be answered in the software user agreement) but want to know.
Is is legal and possible to sell newly purchased software once it's been registered and installed (along with the dongle for the license)? I know that the manufacturer allows you to do an install on multiple PC's (and use one at a time with the dongle).
I recently purchased some software which I thought I was going to use live, but now find that it will not suit my needs.
These are: 1) Vienna Strings (non extended) - but only used a couple of times. So, you are allowed 180 starts before being required to purchase the extension.
2) Arturia Analog Factory - 2000 sounds (not the new version with the keyboard) Although a free upgrade is available on the web just for the extra 1000 sounds.
3) East West "Gypsy" virtual instrument.
I would like to put them up for sale on Ebay or on this forum but don't know if it's allowed by the manufacturer etc. Since these were substantial in cost, I would like to re-coup some of the purchase price.
Only have one new unopened piece of software for sale - Arturia Jupitar, which should be no problem.
Hi, Thanks for the info. I had read the Vienna Instruments agreement in the interim although I had not yet read the Gypsy instruments agreement.
I'm sorry if I gave you the idea that I had the Arturia Collection - as I don't. I only own Analog factory (already installed) and the Jupiter software (still sealed in the box). So, assumming I can sell the later if I chose to, since it is not regestered and a "new" product.
