I also like the new Trower/Bruce CD.....but, I've only listened to it once. I really liked the first few songs, then lost a bit of interest. I need to listen a couple more times before I pronounce judgment.

Great pictures !

I worked as local crew with Robin a few weeks ago. I didn't take notes about his gear, but from what I remember...

Both marshalls are vintage. One is a 50 watt JCM 800. I _think_ that the other was a mid 60's JMP but might have been a JTM. I'll see if any one at work remembers.... He used both amps the night he worked my place, but I hear that he changes what he does with the amps all of the time.

Robin used all Fulltone gear, including an OCD. Fulltone makes custom variations for Robin. I have no idea of what each variation is.

Robin's OCD is on at all times ! All of those incredible tones
and variations that you hear he does with his volume knob ! talk about organic.....

His strats are reissues made by Fender to his specs. Rumor has it that Marshall is talking to Robin about releasing a Robin Trower model... I have no details.

The entire band was phenomimal ! All Old School Pros that were a true pleasure to work with. His road crew are great guys and real pros as well.

What a show. Do yourself a favor and see him.
Cheers,
'Rocker

Get his autograph? What do they do after the show? Hang around for a while? Cause I waited around for him to come outside.
Going to catch him in Cleveland and Columbus this week. Can't pass this up. The guy can wail.
If I could be one person in the World I think it would be Trower. That would be awesome.

No autograph. It's protocal to not ask for one if you're crew.
That needs to be set up with the production or tour manager, and
unfortunatley that didn't happen.

I did, however, get a logo'd guitar pick that he used during the show :-) That's a standard "tip" if they like the work you've done.
I got to talk with him and the band for a bit, great bunch of guys.

After the show, Robin came out into the audience and signed T-Shirts that were purchased at the mechandise table at the show.
Ask his "Merch" guy at the merchandise table if he's going to do that. The artist will usually announce it from stage if they are going to come out and autograph T's after the show.

Have fun. He plays great, you'll love the show.
Cheers,

Take a look at the Trower pic above.

You know what I like about Trower?
He's a BLUE COLLAR guitar player...which is my favorite.
He seems to play for the love of the music.
No hair spray, no spandex, no flames shooting out, no political statements, just good old fashioned rock and roll. \:\)

He looks like the kind of guy you could sit at a bar with, have a beer, and shoot the breeze...about nothing in general.

That's the best compliment I could give any guitar player worth his salt.

Thanks for the tip. I'll wait around the concession stand afterwards. I don't think he did that in Philly or BB King's Blues Club. Although I did see a big black SUV hanging around outside for both shows and someone said that was his car. I asked the driver in NYC if that was so and he chuckled and said "No, I'm here for someone else".
I think he's become really grateful and down-to-earth. For him and the band it's not about partying and girls like it may have been in the 70's. He's got a family w/4 girls and I'm sure the other guys have families. So they're just out there to play for the love of it which is great.
