Hello,

I've heard people say that you can use bags of R-30 insulation for bass trapping.

At home depot there is this foam house shething made by owens corning that is 1" thick and rated R-5. Here is a picture:



So my question is can I just glue up six layers together to equal and R-30 rating?

If so I did just found a cheap and fairly rigged way to make 6" thick bass traps rated at R-30?

And if this idea wont work for bass trapping will it work for my mid and high reflections?

Styrofoam like that is not useful acoustically. Not even a little. Sorry.
