I just joined a day ago so please excuse me if I overlooked something. Is there a place on the forum relating to reviews on basses and amps? I know the magazine has one or two each month, I just wondered if there's a spot on here that has reviews by forum members. Thanks.

There isn't a separate review forum, if that's what you mean. go to the appropriate forum for whatever you are going to review (make sure it's not just spam for some piece of gear you're hocking, etc). I'd recommend using the search funciton and try to find references or threads pertaining to this itiem, and add to them before starting something new. If you don['t find anything referencing this pear you want to review, post a new thread in that forum and title it "(insert name of item) review".

I know for a while they were trying to keep a running review thread stickied up top in the guitar player forum; but I don't think it stayed up top. DOn't think there is one like that for bass player (which I'm assuming is what you want to post, by your avatar.)

Welcome! Pull up a chair, take off your shoes, rant about your stuff, put your shoes back on (man... ever heard of Odor Eaters?) and have fun.

I was just curious if there was such a place for reviews where I can read about gear. Like right now I'm interested in a Fender Bassman amp so I just wanted to hear from people who have used them. So I can just go to the "bass" forum and ask questions like that? Thanks.

Yeah, come on over to the Low Down and ask away. I'm sure several people will have an opinion. FWIW guitar guys seem to love a Fender Bassman, too, for their guitars.

It's probably easier to search for older posts with google. Just type in something like: fender bassman site:musicplayer.com

You can also check out the user reviews at Harmony Central. But if you want to ask a question on a forum most people prefer the forums here at MusicPlayer compared to HC.
