I'm selling my Stealth Bass

You can see a thread on this bass--with sound clip!--HERE.

You can see heaps of cool pictures HERE.

This is a Carvin LB75 5-string fretless bass. It has the sought-after Wilkinson bridge & Sperzel tuners. It has an unlined ebony fingerboard that has been finished with clear gloss. That coupled with the black finish & black hardware makes it None More Black. It looks incredible!

It sounds incredible, too. It has two J pickups, master volume, pan, & active EQ. The sound is very deep with growl for days. It has D'Addario XL strings (nickel roundwounds) that have seen very little use & still sound new. Heaps of punch & brightness. Massive mwah.

It comes with a custom-fitted Carvin hard-sided case in excellent condition.

The condition of the bass is very good. It has a tiny scratch on the back, near where the neck meets the body. The fingerboard has two small "flea bites" on the edge by the G string; in playing position, these could only be seen by someone lying on the floor, & I've never felt them. The fingerboard looks good & shiny, with very minimal groove-wear.

I just bought it (used) about 6 months ago or so, but since then it's sat in its case. I've discovered that if a bass has 4 strings & frets, I'll play it; otherwise, not so much. Oh well. So it's time for a new home.

$700. Shipping extra, or can be picked up in Wichita, KS.

Looks like a pretty good buy for someone. I've got an LB76 fretted that I'm very happy with.

Is the Wilkinson bridge sought after? I replaced mine with the a Hipshot.

I guess I'll post the old bridge for sale and see what happens.

The Wilkinson is a very nice bridge. It seems to be a selling point on Carvins that have it; I know it was for me. It has a lot of mass & is adjustable through all planes. It makes action, intonation, spacing, & string changes really easy.

The Sperzel tuners are nice, too. Very unusual. You just feed the end of the string through the hole in the side of the shaft, lock it down with the screw on the back of the tuner, & about a half-turn later you're in tune.
