So I got Reason 4.01 and was using it cubase sx 3 without a hitch for the past few days....Then during a project, I decided to exit out of reason, then cubase, and opened up reason just to do some patch editing. Then closed reason, open cubase, then reason, and now no matter what I do I get the following error message: "Engine not responding, check your rewire host".....I tried restarting, unloading the disk from the drive, starting a new session....Nothing seems to work....Im not sure how not 30 minutes ago it was working fine and now Rewire is a HUGE pain in the ass! Someone help before I throw my pc out my NYC apartment!

Edwin,

I can't help specifically, but there are 2 features in Windows to get back where you were.

If you can find Computer Management > Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game controllers, find your related drivers and see if there is a "rollback" option that can reset changed drivers to an earlier version.

You also have the option to do a 'System Restore', provided you've already stored some restore dates. This'll install a prior Registry. If you've installed or uninstalled anything recently and it asked you to "restart your computer" to complete, then a restore point was automatically saved.

Best, Paul
