Hi Ethan,
I have been reading a lot about QRD diffusers. I would like to attempt to build one using the calculator found here: QRD Diffuser Calculator I see that you have sent many people to this link on other forums. My question is:
How thick do/can the "well walls" have to be?
I can't seem to find any information on this. My plan was to make a diffuser that has well widths of 3/4". I know that that is not very thick but according to the calculator, it will give me the high frequency bandwidth I am looking for. That being said, I was thinking I could use 1/8" hard board for the "well walls". Honestly though, I don't know if that will suffice for proper design construction? It seems like all of the of pictures I have looked at show most diffusers with much wider "well walls". Any recommendations you can make would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen well walls made from 1/4 inch thick wood, and I've seen others made using 1/16 inch sheet metal. In fact, both of those were manufactured by RPG. I imagine 1/8 inch plywood is fine.
