hello I have recently redone my studio acoustically (well RE-done is not quite right, I DID it for the first time).

In any case, I have some foam absorbers above my head and carpet on the floor, I was wondering if I could put plexiglass under my chair to as to save the carpet from wear and tear, or if that will adversely affect the sound.

Also for the main absorbers I have auralex mineral fiber batts 4" thick on the walls three in front of the mix position and two at the reflection points, and 6 inch thick floor to ceiling in the corners.

I have posted two links to two photos, I tried to get as much of the room as possible, but its kind of a small room, I got back as far as I could, hope it makes sense! The red panels are the 4 inch thick ones and the black ones are the 6 inch thick ones.

PS thanks everyone for all the advice, the room sounds great! the mixes translate much much better now.

I'm sure plastic on the floor under your chair will be fine. I have one of those office plastic chair things from Office Max in my studio.
