Craig,
Just got finished watching the presentation and Q&A Monday on a flight back from a concert in Phoenix on my Zune media player.
It was very informative and really opened up some new starting points for me.
I really appreciate the candid and honest comments you offered during the Q&A session afterward.
It's not about a magical piece of software that will get the job done. It starts with good music and musicianship and knowing how to properly use the tools you have. A person who is a craftsman can build something beautiful with just a few modest tools and someone could go to the hardware store and purchase the most costly and technical gear and the results would be just a mess.
It is also interesting to see some of the things you mentioned in the webinar appear in print and in other media outlets. Just finished reading about the harpsichord sessions you mentioned in the seminar and you not only preach it but you practice it as well.
One of the most interesting things I took away from the webinars were in the use of Spectral Editing and the use of Har-Bal for resonance reduction (I also read last night the EQ article on the same subject).
The beauty is that a webinar just allows someone like me who learns more intuitively to see the same information presented in a different medium and what I might have missed in print is driven home with the web broadcasts. I can then go back to the text and the ideas are reinforced.
Thanks for wading through the long post but just wanted to express my thanks and hopes for more of this type of thing in the future.
One thing I missed was the idea of sitting there with you in the studio. it would have been cool to have had some sort of stream being broadcast during the Q&A.
Take care and all the best for the rest of the year.
