Those times are the best. I haven't had one quite like that in too long.

Agreed. I had one of those moments a few weeks ago when I got a new keyboard. Those really are the best moments and they are very special moments for me.

I SURVIVED! Now, I will only have to stay awake long enough for the drive home...
I work at Xerox full time and do the guitar and bass building after 10:30 at night when my wife goes to work. She sleeps until then so I cannot make the noise that routers and sanders and vacuums make...

I think a more appropriate question is - is there anyone this HASN'T happened to. I think there are few of us that have NOT gotten caught up in something we were doing - preferably something we love.
This happens to me the most when I am programming synth sounds. Time just gets away from me. My wife doesn't quite understand how I can get so captivated by it.

Gigging, wrenching and being online make time disappear for me. Very rarely happens when I'm working unless I'm rolling on good coffee.

Those are really amazing times. You get all carried away and you enjoy what you are doing a lot that you aren't even aware of anything. These are also the times wherein you produce really good stuff.

For me, performing makes the world go away. I can stay up for hours.
