About 1.5 weeks ago, my Carvin MTS 3212 started to make a lot of white noise and buzzing out of both channels. I took it in to have looked at. A week later (and $45), it still isn't fixed. In addition, in my house, it picks up radio signals. It is very irritating. What do you think is the problem/what should I do?

i forgot to mention, my cables are brand new, so there isn't a problem with those. the white noise is present at all volume levels

I'll ask the dumb questions: Does it do it with guitar plugged in / not plugged in? >> if so try another guitar? Have you tried plugging the amp into a different outlet, different circuit? Have you had the problem plugged in somewhere else, different house or band practice or work? Did the person who charged you $45 try different tubes, brand new ones can be bad.

the preamp section has been retubed. it does it in different outlets. i have used different cables/guitars, with the same effect. it does it a little less in the place where a couple friends of mine and i play, but that room was originally designed to be a soundproof studio. it still exists though.

Pack it over to a friends house and plug it in and see if it still gives you the noise. I'm betting this wont fix your problem but worth a try. If it does work thought it's interference from your house. But then again you stated that it just started a little while ago..... Hmmm.

Check your ground.
If the amp has issue in more than one location something became loose or no longer attached in the grounding system of the amp.
