Hi Ethan, I have been reading posts about DIY basstraps and i got a little confused.
I bought some rockwool and my question is would it be a big problem if i cover it in plastic? because the rockwool smells really bad \:\)
i know that the plastic will reflect high mids and highs, but would it affect the below 500hz absorption?
my plan is to cover the rockwool with plastic and then with fabric.
the general question is, plastic good or bad for a ceiling corner bass traps?

Plastic is fine for bass traps in corners, or anywhere else that's not a direct reflection point.
