Hi,

How can you eliminate or at least, diminish mouth sounds, saliva, lip smacks, etc., from a performer that has dental work? I move the mic back as far as I can and I don't use any compression while recording because it sounds much worse with compression. Any ideas?

Pop filter. That's the only help you have.

After recording using the Pop Filter as previously suggested, you can try some processing using a de-esser.
