Hi Ethan,
I did what u told me and i put a bunch of 703 on all the corners i could use, including some on the floor, like under the keyboard stand.
I have to say that i found some improvement in the modes width (larger) and the rt60 response.
I still have 4 problem spots in the low end tho.
2 big deeps @ 57Hz and 136Hz and 2 pecks @ 111Hz and 167Hz.

I'd like to know if the following persiger and though process are correct:

By using a tone generator at the nulls frequencies I've spotted the locations on the walls where these frequencies are the loudest in the room.
If i place a frequency tuned bass trap in the wall spot I identified previously i should be able to reduce the cancellation effect.
Is this correct?
Do u think it'd work for the peak frequencies to?

Since from building the studio i have lots of scrap wood and fiberglass left over i don't mind experimenting a bit. So i decided to start with some perforated panels.

Let me know your thoughts pls \:D
Thx as usual.
Cez

PS.: here is a drawing of the trap. the oles are 9cm apart with 4mm diameter but the target size is between 4.5 and 5mm but as i said i wanna experiment a bit and see what difference the size of the hole makes.
The top panel is 9mm thick and made out of OSB.
The cavity is 12cm deep and half of it will be filled with fiberglass.

Before you do that - have you tested various locations around your listening area to find out if there is a sweet spot where they go away>

Hi Rod,
i did test different positions but there are other problems in other places.
The one I've chosen is pretty much the best spot in the room.

PS.: i just noticed that the null @ 57Hz is exactly at half the frequency of the peak @ 112Hz, i'm guessing that they are directly related. So witch one of them shall i treat first?

it may be the 57hz (which is 1/2 of 114hz) is one mode, and depending on room dimensions, the 111hz might be a completely separate mode. the 167hz may be the 3rd axial mode (assuming some liberties with rounding errors and the fact that the room itself is not infinitely rigid :-)) so it may be that the 57hz is your biggest problem. that said, what type of levels are you seeing? +/-30db?

hi gullfo,
thx for the responce \:D

that could be it, it's hard to calculate modes in my room cause is not square...
here is a layout of the room:

the levels of difference are quite high:

the decay time and the ringing appear to be under control tho...
i'm almost done preparing the perforated panel, as i said i'm eperimenting, in case it doesn't work properly i'll turn it into a bass trap like the ones described by Ethan, but i'm curious to see the resiults ;\)
