As "funny" as the cop's stupidity was, someone made a comment on there that was spot on.
If that had been you or I, we'd have wound up in jail. Because he was a cop, they let him resign from the force, and didn't press charges.
How f***ed up is that?!

Yeah, I saw that comment and I agree. And he wasn't just smoking the dope, he was nicking it from the evidence room.

Believe me, if you knew the Dearborn PD, like I do, you have a very easy time believing anything they do!!! nothing suprises me when it comes to how they operate! Oh and by the way, that same cop got a cushy job with Ford security after he retired! the leverage runs deep in the DPD!!

I think I read somewhere on the web that cannabis can alter one's sense of time, and some other senses, but I don't believe it! I've always thought it makes your mind run faster, in some way, and that's why people often feel confused when they're stoned. It stands to reason, really: if your sensory perception is heightened, all that extra information would make your mind work overtime. And that would probably confuse your sense of time, too.
Well, ummm.... yeah, ya may be right. I wouldn't know. Nope, uh-uh, no idea!

I used to smoke a ton of the stuff. I'm not sure that I recall any sort of time distortion. You may forget to keep track of the time if you have something important coming up, because you are too stoned to remember, but it never really sped up or slowed down for me anyway.

See, I think it's subjective. I've been known to partake of the hashish from time to time - particularly before I gig. It detaches me. As a lead singer I need to be in a space where I'm not thinking about singing or bass and they both just happen. I can really, really groove - or at least I think I can!
oh . . . duuuuude.

When I was a teen/early 20-something, I loved to smoke weed before performing or recording.
Now? Not! I get too self-conscious, and it actually restrains my better abilities as a guitarist and especially as a singer.
I am so freaking boring now. I only perform stone cold sober. I don't even have a beer before a gig. What the hell happened to me? I sometimes miss the old me, but the new me seems happier on a general basis.

I've never been able to sing effectively under the influence. Instrumentally, I find it definitely relaxes me, which is a good thing, but unfortunately I sang either backups or lead in every band I've ever worked with, so nix the weed before a show!

For years I thought a toke was required in order to be able to rock. The fact is since I have stopped smoking (everything including cigarettes) my performing abilities have increased greatly and also my overall health has increased. I don't think I have suffered as much as even a cold in the 2 years since I quit and I used to get severe bronchitis at least 1-2x a year. Not to mention the marked increase in my overall mental health.
Exactly how I feel about alcohol. I quit everything for about 10 years because I found that it wasn't healthy to use things out of habit. Now, when I smoke it is for a specific purpose so I see it as a tool. I still haven't touched alcohol and have no plans to. Nasty poison that one.

My body forced me to stop drinking. I was never more than a moderate drinker anyway, excepting my teenage/college binge drinking as is typical of people that age.
But in my late 20s, I started getting these horrifyingly bad hangovers even from drinking relatively small amounts, like a few beers or a couple of cocktails. My doc told me that some people actually develop allergies to alcohol over the course of time, which is what happened to me.
I'll still have a beer once in a blue moon, but that's about it.
You know, performing sober isn't so bad. I find you prove to yourself your level of testicular fortitude when you can take a stage with nothing to dull the performance anxiety.

Gross. Blue Moon is just about the most foul-tasting beer in the world. I like Bass and Guinness but I'd rather drink Coors Light than Blue Moon.

I still love a good cold lager but no American swill. I have to be careful though. Like Klopmeyer more than one and I'm sick the next day. Thank god too 'cause drunks annoy the hell outta me.

Mexican lager lover here, lotsa lime! The best I've ever had is made in France, of all places, called Desperados, and is flavored with lime and tequila - just awesome!
