Hi all.
As always, thank you for the generous advice.
Without the spirited pro's on this forum, I'd be in a sonic gutter.
Been daydreaming about diffusion, and thought it was time to seek some input:
1.I was wandering what the difference between a 'Primitive Root Diffusor' and a 2D Quadratic 'Residue Diffuser' is?
Are they really just different versions of the same thing?
2.I intended on building what I understand to be Primitive Root Diffusors by chopping up pine 2"x2"s and glueing them onto a 2'x2' board (according to the appropriate formula, of course).
I was wandering how much diffusion to use and where I should place the diffusors?
Note that my plan for absorption is as follows:
-8" thick dense rockwool corner bass traps, in all 4 wall corners....all the way to ceiling
-4" dense rockwool along all wall to ceiling corners.
-bass traps covered in CLOSE-weave TIGHT fabric to avoid too much HF absorption.
-4" medium density glasswool absorbers at first reflection points
3.Should I have diffusion wherever there is no absorption?
4.Can I stand these diffusers a couple of inches in front of my wall corner bass traps without effecting the bass traps performance adversly?
Room dimensions: 5.9m x 4.2m x 2.4m
Be blessed
